Finally! A New Front Door!

A new front door sounds easy, right? But when you combine a 96 year old house with COVID-19, wildfires, poor air quality, slow suppliers and overworked painters it can take a little extra time! But we’re thrilled with the result. Our new front door required removing all the previous framing and rebuilding the opening for a snug fit. Check out the original redwood siding!

The new door is secure, energy efficient, looks great, and even opens and closes - unlike the old door. And, it looks great on our old house. I’d say it’s a win! Thanks so much to the woman-owned local business, Window Factory!

Bye, old door!
