Reaching Out for Each Other

These sugar snap pea plants are right outside my office window. They quickly outgrew the little teepee I made for them and now are exploding in all directions. As I was chastising myself for underestimating their vigor, I took a closer look. Little tendrils were reaching out, entwining with each other, giving each other structure and support to keep growing and climbing. As we start our second pandemic year, it gave me pause to think of all the ways we reach out for each other, grab on, and hold each other up. A little lesson from my garden.
