I got the most touching gift from my client today! We were in the trenches together last fall, putting her beautiful little home back together after it was destroyed by a flood in the upper unit that turned into a major mold crisis. Exposure to mold caused her to develop severe chemical sensitivities, and between her insurance company, the homeowners association, COVID, and her contractors, what should have been a quick turnaround turned into a nightmare. A friend of hers referred her to me, knowing that as a green realtor I would have empathy for her air quality sensitivity. Together we got the job done and her condo sold for a record price in her complex. She couldn’t have come up with a better way to say thank you. In addition to a Door Dash gift card - “you never eat when you are working!” she got me an array of green cleaning products, a dust buster, a cell phone cleaner, and a few of the tricks of the trade I showed her - vanilla candles and white nail polish. One of the best things about being a realtor is forming relationships during these transitional moments. It’s a bond that lasts.
