A new front door sounds easy, right? But when you combine a 96 year old house with COVID-19, wildfires, poor air quality, slow suppliers and overworked painters it can take a little extra time! But we’re thrilled with the result. Our new front door required removing all the previous framing and rebuilding the opening for a snug fit. Check out the original redwood siding!
It now opens and closes easily and is far more solid and energy efficient, not to mention much more secure than the previous door. It took a while, but it was a big win!
Bye, bye old door!
